Mia holds a certificate of completion of the Core Curriculum in Couple and Family Therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family in NYC, a Master of Education in Counseling from Stephens College, and a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Missouri. As an educator, Mia worked with youth identified as at risk for dropping out in rural Missouri and taught English and Special Education in Colorado. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Mia has experience working in residential behavioral health services for youth and residential addiction treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Mia also provides supervision for provisionally licensed therapists (PLPC).
